I’d love to see the option to add & share homebrew content, similar to what D&D Beyond allows. For example, it would be great to have the ability to copy existing Adversaries, change their name, picture, stats, etc. to create new custom Adversaries. Then be able to save them to our account for future use, and decide whether or not to share them publicly.
Honestly I’m really looking forward to our homebrew update and can’t wait to share it with everyone. At the moment I don’t really have anything I can say about it but as soon as news is available I’ll make sure to shout it from the rooftops.
Can you load into equipment items from the playtest? Like Thistlefolk armor, Sable Sap, etc.? Reason is our group is continuing and they plundered some of the items and have them…
As long as the items are already on their character sheets they should be able to access them without issues. If it doesn’t exist in the core rulebook you won’t be able to add it to new character sheets however.
Is there any update about homebrew? I’m running a game and finding it quite challenging to use the tools in Roll20 since a lot of my homebrew adversaries cannot be brought into the Map and interact. I’m ending up using tools outside of both Demiplane and Roll20 to manage this, and it means that me and my players have far more things open to manage than we do when we run D&D. For a system this flexible, being bound to using only published adversaries and environments is exceedingly limited once you want to move beyond the starter adventures.
Unfortunately we don’t have any new information to share in regards to homebrew. As soon as there’s new information we can provide we’ll make sure that we announce it loudly.
Hi Eve. I’m one of the people also waiting patiently for this news. I noticed this past summer that it had already been two years since Demiplane wrote “we’re working on it.”
Is there a public link to Demiplane’s prios or backlog so we have some visibility on whether homebrew functionality is even on the dev team’s radar?
At this time we don’t have a public roadmap available. This is because our roadmap and priorities can, and often do, shift with very little notice. When we’re able to provide more information about the timeframe for homebrew we’ll make sure that we announce it.
