As the subject line says. Nowhere in the books or errata says the Deadly Trap does extra damage except the ongoing damage from Afflicted. However, when entered in demiplane, the Deadly Trap talent calculated 2d4+[survival, in my case +5]. While I, playing a Hunter, completely love this idea, my GM says that’s incorrect, and I cannot find anything that explains where demiplane is getting this extra damage.
Hi! I had remembered coming across this topic on the Cosmere RPG discord.
Traps are Survival attacks against target’s defense, so the damage includes the Survival modifier to hit to damage like any other attack, as per Ross Leiser (one of the rules designers for Cosmere RPG):
And keep in mind the traps are also Surivival attacks, meaning you add your Survival modifier to the damage on a hit
