This is one I’ve experienced with all of my characters, but most frequently with this one. I also link my characters to Roll20. My browser is Chrome 140.0.7339.128, however I’ve experienced the issue since I began using the platform.
Basically, I update things in the Inventory, either by creating items or placing them in containers. Then at some point within a few hours, it reverts to my character without those changes.
Something similar also occurs with the above character’s Name. I originally called it “Harmony” as a place holder. Then I came up with the name Rhythmus & have a _ behind it. At any time, various name fields for the character may be Rhythmus_ or Harmony, at the same time.
Sorry I can’t give any more information, but I reckon if you guys play with adding items to your inventory, adding new containers, & moving items around in containers, you’ll be able to replicate the issue.
I think this is a caching issue, btw. When I deleted my browser data, the problem went away. It seems that switching from the character sheet to the builder saves the data into the browser, rather than on the server. If so, a save button on the character sheet would be beneficial to cover changes not saved by the builder, e.g., inventory, notes, etc. Or auto-save when moving from the character sheet to the builder.
Um, just noticed that this is in the Cosmere thread. I experienced, and seemingly resolved, this issue in the Pathfinder nexus. I assume they have similar mechanisms for saving content, however.
