Campaigns: Encounter Builder (and other features)

I just wanted to chime in here to say that I am happy to see the new Campaigns section but am most excited for the upcoming Encounter builder. “Coming Soon” is great to hear, but I was just curious if you guys are at the point where you’re able to give a more specific ETA? Understanding that you are probably hesitant to make promises as things never go as planned, but are we talking weeks, months, next year?

Also, are you able to give us any hints on what the other features will entail? NPCs I am guessing is just a place to gather recurring NPC stat blocks similar to how the Players page does for PCs. But I’d love to get a sense on what kinds of things might be in store for us in Resources?

In short, any further tidbits & teasers would be great, but if that’s getting too far ahead, I just wanted to say that I am excited to see this area of the nexus develop.

Hey there! We are super excited, too!

Campaigns Phase I, as you know just got released.
Campaigns Phase II, will be following shortly after.
Then, Homebrew, then Encounter Building.

Campaigns Phase II information that is public:
Second release of features that the team is working on now:

  • The ability for GMs to create and store campaign-specific NPCs and Adversaries, include information about them, and decide whether to share that information with your players (or not), and,
  • The ability to create and link resources from both in and outside of the NEXUS, be they notes, links, documents, specific chapters from Corebooks, regularly used abilities, and more.

All of this will happen this year!

We do not have dates or information to share quite yet. The reason for this is we don’t want to lock ourselves into a specific date. But, the moment they’re live, we will be shouting from the rooftops!
