Cannot equip new armor and weapons on pathfinder 2e character sheet?

I was upgrading my character to 5th level and was attempting to upgrade my equipment. I was able to add a breastplate and equip it, but when I attempted to add a steel shield, I could not replace my wooden shield with it. And after I unequipped my warhammer and wooden shield, I can’t equip anything for a weapon or off-hand item.

What am I missing? This seems like this should be an easy thing. I was able to change my armor with no problems but I can’t even re-equip items I took off (thinking there was an issue using the new shield with the old weapon).

Ah, never mind, just figured it out. You need to click on the PRIMARY or OFF-HAND button to equip it to that location. That’s a little counter-intuitive, but I understand the choice.
