Is it possible to change the name of a group after creation? I gave mine a placeholder name because I couldn’t think of one at the time and would like to rename it now if possible.
There is not currently a way to change the name of a group. This is something we plan to address with updates to group functionality later this year. ![]()
Ok, thanks
Can a group be deleted?
It sure can! In the group settings, there is an option to delete it. ![]()
arg this is unfortunate. Being new, I named it after the players of my regular group. But i see now I should have named it just something like “Marvel 2024 XYZ”.
I feel like this “problem” was originally intended to be a cool feature instead of a bug, but I am not grasping why a text box was not the choice. I am missing why the site can’t copy a cell. Not trying to harsh a buzz, but I’m stuck with a game placeholder-called “WhoCares2024” here and this bug has been in the list for two years.
I can’t speak to it being intended as a feature vs. it being a bug. What I can say is that I know how frustrating it is because the first couple groups I made were also placeholder names before I realized they couldn’t be changed. Ultimately though I’m getting this in front of the rest of the team and I’ll make sure that they hear how frustrating this has been for folks.
Hi, found this thread searching for this topic. Is this still not a function? It seems there should be a way to edit the group name and game system. Otherwise I have to reinvite my regular players via email every time we change systems, which is a bit of a pain. Are there any plans for this fix? Seems like an obvious one to me ![]()
Thanks!
Okay, piggybacking on my question about this functionality, how is a group and a campaign different? If I have my players in a campaign, do I still need them in a group to share content?
Campaigns are meant to slowly take the place of the Group feature. They have more robust campaign management tools within them and allow for you to share directly through the Campaign without needing to have your players in a Group as well.
Perfect - thank you! I can ignore the whole group thing then
cheers.
