Is there an option to convert your digital character sheet to PDF or is this still in development?

Yes, that is correct. It’s still in development. 
A little clarification just where folks don’t think it’s taking us that long to solve a PDF export - it’s not actively in development.
It’s on the roadmap to be developed (and I would say it would be labeled short term at this stage). We’ve been focused on getting the digital experience right, but our sights will shift soon to export options.
