Creatures vs wha?

I really didn’t want to ask about something that “seems to be” a very obvious answer, but my critical mind just cannot shake it!

What, if anything, is included in the category of “CREATURES”?

It seems that it is a catch-all for anything and everything that breathes (currently or formerly [aka zombies]) or something that is capable of moving on their own effort or something that can attack a PC or perhaps even sentient ooze?

I love that DH is setup to simplify certain things, like how the VULNERABLE condition applies to all types of negative conditions (blinded, cursed, hexed, being really-really dumb, or poisoned) and how RESTRAINED is for movement debuffs (grappled, rooted, pinned, etc).

I just want to make sure that there isn’t another category out there besides CREATURES that I should be aware of, lurking around the next bend, and awaiting for me and my (now) useless spells to crest the corner… because they only effect CREATURES and not WIDGETS!!

Hey Shiholude, I’ll say this with a caveat of “This is still a playtest and things may change in the final release” but for now at least I would assume the word creature refers to anything living or undead. I know I’ve not seen anything in the playtest at least that would call that into question.

I’m guessing that there are CREATURES and OBJECTS - perhaps to keep with the way they’ve created dual categories for other things?

Perhaps the CRIT-MAS episode will reveal more? I’ll be watching and learning pho sho!
