I didn’t realize DC20 had a Nexus yet! That’s exciting!
The Demiplane folks have been really good about fixing problems as we point them out, so thank you for your post! I look forward to jumping into DC20 with both feet. =)
Multi-Skilled and skill expertise is fixed and live, for the rapier there’s a toggle on the character sheet for Guard, if you turn that on it adds to your PD.
Patient Defense should be fixed, as well as Step of the Wind.
Gazelle stance should automatically apply it’s bonuses as long as you meet the criteria but there’s no toggle to turn it on/off.
Thankyou so much for fixing things promptly, much appreciated.
The skill bonuses for Hunter’s Favoured Terrain/Urban are not adding to Skill Points (at least when chosen as a Multiclass Talent by Rogues) but can be manually edited in.
It does seem desirable to give Monks some kind of stance toggle as they can only be in one stance at a time and can change stances at the start of their turn or by spending a Stamina point. They should not benefit from all stances they know simultaneously.
Jump distance for my Monk, Demiplane , does not seem to be benefitting from Jumper/Strong Jumper/Step of the Wind or Gazelle Stance. It would be useful to display Jump (at least for this character) rather than having it buried in Movement.
Also although Natural Weapons can be named when edited the Name does not show up on the Action description.
Can Minor Actions be tracked? Ponce can check his Jump (the current Jump action should be renamed Check Jump imo) once per turn as a Minor Action so would not want to spend an Action Point to do so. There are other skills that also enable Actions to be Minor Actions.
Can I get a link to the rogue where the skill bonuses aren’t being added for Urban Favored Terrain?
We’re looking into potentially adding that stance toggle, I’ve got a ticket filed for investigation.
One of our developers took a look and is pretty sure the jump distance is calculating correctly for that character, they said they have “a running jump distance 6 which is +3 from prime, +2 from Jumper and +1 from gazelle stance.” and that they didn’t see anything else on the sheet which would change the jump distance.
I filed a ticket to look into weapons not changing their name in the action description.
Currently the best way to track minor actions is to add a custom tracker from the resource tracker settings. You can do this by clicking the cogwheel next to where the resources are tracked. You can track up to 4 resources at a time so for your monk for instance you could track Ki, Stamina, Grit, and then add a custom one for minor actions.
I’ve manually added in the Skill bonuses from the Favoured Terrain Multiclass Talent atm.
Is there anywhere on the Character Sheet that shows Darkvision and Tremorsense distances ? Spoing gets them from Subterranean terrain.
Ponce’s current Running/Standing Long Jump is shown as 6/3.
I calculate it as 7/7 in Gazelle Stance as follows:
Base = 3 (Prime instead of Agility - Step of the Wind)
Step of the Wind +1
Jumper (Beastborn) +2
Gazelle Stance +1
Standing is no longer halved because of Strong Jumper (Beastborn).
Similarly for High Jump.
When using the Heroic Leap Technique Ponce gets a further +1 Jump, making 8 in total but I don’t think bonuses from Techniques are currently dynamically displayed.
Alright, I looked at what’s going on with Urban Favored Terrain and we’re pretty sure that there’s a bug preventing it from giving you the choice to add those skills. From what I can tell of how it should work though it should give you the choice in the character builder and doesn’t currently have a toggle to turn it on/off when you’re in the favored terrain.
Also, I went ahead and changed things so that Step of the Wind adds to your jump. A few things with this as well though. I tested and because of how we have to set it up on the back end it doesn’t lower your jump distance if you wear armor, Gazelle Stance will work the same and not lower your jump distance if you’re wearing heavy armor. We also don’t have a way to take Strong Jumper into account so it will continue to read as 7/3 and be up to you to account for the fact that you don’t have to move those 2 squares to get your running jump.
Finally, you’re correct that techniques aren’t dynamically displayed.
Thanks Eve,
Just noting that the plus to skills from Favoured Terrain Urban doesn’t toggle off in other terrain. It’s just a straight plus to those particular skills.
The system flagging you as spam should be fixed now but I’ll keep an eye on it. It gets a little overzealous sometimes about links. And thanks for the clarification on Favored Terrain. I’m still learning DC20 so a few of those details escape me still!
I’m a mod on the Roon Forum which also uses Discourse so I feel your pain …
There’s a lot to digest with DC20, particularly in the way that later talents, especially Multiclass, affect previous options etc.
All in all I think the Demiplane adaptation is really good. I’ve enjoyed creating characters and it would be surprising, astonishing really, if there were not glitches and bugs. I’ll keep raising new threads when I see them and linking characters to provide examples.
