Hey everyone, I have been trying to figure out ways to digitally view my group’s character sheets. We are all new to Daggerheart, transitioning over from D&D 5e. I have been studying the core rulebook, and I am doing my best to answer questions from my players, but I have no way to view their character sheets in order to answer specific questions they have about their character. Please, make it so DMs can see everyone’s character sheets for Daggerheart. It would make everything so much easier.
They can each share their sheet with you.
If they click on the three horizontal blue lines to the right of the character name and then choose “share with link” they get a URL to send you so you can view the characters. This will be a read only copy of the character.
This menu also allows them to give you Edit rights to the character - assuming they know your Demiplane user name.
Thank you for your answer. Although, in my opinion, I think Demiplane should allow the DM access to view the character sheets through the Group page. It is a lot of effort to get players who are not comfortable with Demiplane to figure out how to share the link with you. Not to mention, I have to keep a notepad with the link to each character. Would be much easier if I could just click on their profile and be sent to the character sheet.
While inconvenient, you can also just bookmark in your browser of choice each sheet for easier reference…
Thank you, but I am looking for a convenient update to the Demiplane digital tool, allowing me to access the players’ character sheets in one location. I hope this doesn’t come off rude, but I would rather not add 5 bookmarks to my browser.
Understood and I THINK that is on the roadmap. I was just offering a band-aid to the situation as opposed to having to write down the links (unless you meant the Notepad program.) No offense taken, and happy gaming!…
Like RPGeezer said this is on the roadmap for when we revamp our Group functionality. I don’t currently have a timeline for this but I can say that it will allow for GMs to more easily view their players sheets.
I do greatly appreciate solutions while we are waiting for the revamp to complete. I am currently placing the shared character sheet links in OneNote, which is a pretty handy place. I use it for all the notes I take during a session. IE: overall story progression, player’s backstories, social encounter consequences (good and bad), etc.
