Dungeon Max's SKT Feedback - Session 38 (spoilers)

Well, it happened. My first character death in Pathfinder. We were facing off against the ghoul gourmands over the course of about two rounds our fighter was hit with two third level harms, then three of them reacted to a consume flesh from the table with ecstatic ululation, and then a third level crisis of faith brought him down. Before anyone could act to heal, another walked forwards and cast death knell and he failed the save. While this was going on, two of the players had been goofing around with hijinx and not doing much damage but after that they actually started fighting and cleaned up the baddies pretty quick. I think they didn’t realize how dangerous the enemies could be and it was a good lesson. The player whose character died was a good sport and then we all got a great laugh when I gave space for a somber moment of party reaction and the gnome “respectfully” looted the jewelry off the table for their moment of mourning. They went into the next room guns blazing though and quickly realized they were outmatched and then ran.

Feedback:

  • Not really demiplane feedback but adventure thoughts… It could be the encounters here were overtuned, but also out of our party of six, two were absent and didn’t contribute, and two were goofing off for the first two rounds so it could be on the players also… but the next guy in the following room was definitely out of their league I think. +20 to hit and 29 AC was going to make it difficult.
  • About demiplane now: the statblock for Priest of Kabriri is nice that it links to the abilities it inherits from the lacedon. It would be nicer if they were also below the main statblock, above the ghoul/ghast information.
  • I like how more information is getting linked like the trait tags are mouseoverable, it would be nice if that applied to things like negative healing (clicking see glossary goes to a new page rather than a sidebar popup ;_; ), and I’ve mentioned elsewhere I would like mousing over the creature level to give me the recall knowledge skill and DC …
  • for legacy creatures, negative/positive damage could be mouseoverable to add the words vitality and void as a reminder since the players are using remaster characters
  • It would really be nice if the monster statblocks when opened on their own page were “rollable” (click on the dice formulas to roll)

Anyway. Had a lot of fun and part of that was thanks to Demiplane!
