Formulas and Separate Levels

Maybe you guys are aware of this but the slider to show formulas at separate levels doesn’t appear to do anything right now:

Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ll get it in front of the rest of the team so we can see what’s going on here.

Two questions! First are you still having this happen? And second can I get a link to the character it’s happening with? We’ve not been able to replicate it on our end, everything seems to be separating out how it’s supposed to.

Yup, still happening. Looks like I can upload a screen recording. I made a copy of the character because I might be mucking around with it this weekend. I did go into the Character Builder on the copy and flipped the toggle several times, still not breaking things down by level. I’ll DM you the link.

Thanks for the link, I checked on the copy and oddly enough it’s working on my end with the copy as well.

Edit: Actually I just noticed that our screenshots look different. Where are you adding formulas from?

Edit edit: I went to the character builder which is where it looks like you’re adding formulas from and toggling the “Show Formulas at Separate Levels” toggle to on was much more subtle there. This is what it ended up doing

With it toggled off:

I believe this is because it’s having you add Level 2 formulas in the builder and so there’s understandably not as much variety between available levels.

Ahhhh I think it was unclear to me what that toggle was supposed to do. That was compounded by the fact that when I go into my formulas none of the ones that show up on the “first page” of formulas has different versions that are different levels.

To be clear, I now understand this toggle to, basically, bundle and formulas that might have something like lesser and greater versions as ONE line when OFF. When the toggle is ON each of these items will have their own item in the list. In your screenshots Bristling Spines is an example of this.

I was expecting something more like what you see when selecting Feats:

Where there are collapsible subheadings for each level. I’d like to suggest that as a general product improvement in the character builder for formulas and spells. It would really help filter out noise if you want to just focus on spells of formulas of a specific level while also being able to look quickly at other levels without having to change filters.
