The forums here are not very active now. To attract more players, especially pbp players, forums need to be more active!
I think it generally works the other way around. It’s not that an active forum attracts players, it’s that attracting more players leads to more forum activity. The forum itself is probably never going to be what brings people to play these games, it’s more likely to be a place where people who are already active players hang out.
