Full Homebrew support within Demiplane?

Hi everyone, I’d like to know if there are any plans for us to be able to add homebrew material to our sheets, such as domains, custom cards, communities, classes, etc.

Maybe even full Homebrew support within Demiplane itself.

Homebrew is planned for the future but I don’t have details I can share at the moment! Once we have more information to share however we’ll shout it from the rooftops.

They have been saying this for years. I no longer believe you and your lies

Yeah, 2 years ago, it was a SHORT-TERM plan.
Homebrew is pretty much necessary for games.
Make it happen or stop lying about it.

I didn’t think this topic would cause so much arguing. But here’s the thing — Homebrew is extremely important to Daggerheart; it’s part of the core of the system that we can create new classes by combining different Domains beyond what’s in the book.

This is something you’ve been saying for years. I stopped using your service and have been checking in periodically and am still shocked that this highly requested feature isnt a priority for your company. Its very clear your development efforts are going towards adding new games and material and not enhancing the core experience - and that is not how you earn retention.

With a game that encourages creativity, has fast growing popularity and very little content beyond the rules available, we NEED homebrew. Homebrew for the sake of it, but also homebrew to adapt other content, adventures, classes, races, subclasses, etc. Please prioritize this!

We really need a concrete answer from the developers about all this. Considering it seems like it’s been promised for years and never delivered, according to the community, because if that’s the case, I don’t know if it’s worth continuing to play Daggerheat for Demiplane.

Yes exactly this game in particular encourages homebrew. So much that the Daggerheart main site has homebrew support and blank data cards.

Besides all the things already mentioned, domains, classes, ancestry, communities; homebrew items and gear needs to be available as well. Not just a named item in your inventory. But a full custom piece of gear, with stats etc, that can be equipped in a character sheet and show up correctly.

I agree, I would love to add my created communities to my pc’s options for their characters. It really hurts the selling point of using the generator when they have blanks, or have to manually remember what cannot be added . I don’t even want to think about custom subsystems for campaign frames.

I’ve recently started making PCs over at heartofdaggers.com and I while the PC sheet isn’t as pretty as the one at Demiplane I’ve been very pleasantly suprised at how “fast” the devs at HOD are at adding features and fixing bugs. I understand that DP staff has to add plumbing for all the games they support but if you’re just playing Daggerheart the HOD Beta for Character Sheets is super dope. I came to Demiplane from DNDBEYOND and absolutely LOVE the default character sheet tool but I feel like it’s not moving fast enough and I’m “this close” to migrating my table from Demiplane to HOD for all character sheets. HOD doesn’t have void content yet and that’s my last holdout before I move over to HOD vs Demiplane for Character sheets. HOD has also added AMAZING features for GM’s like adventure/campaign Group tools. Also homebrew opttions are really coming along. It may be unfair to compare what DP offers vs HOD since they can focus on just one game but I really hoped that DP would be further along on the speed of dev work for DH.
NOTE: the Character Sheet over at HOD is still in early beta.

Thanks for this tip.

My loyalty is to a game, not the service that provides it. If Demiplane continues to drag their feet, we’ll go elsewhere.

I really hope Demiplane understands that churning their player base and constantly chasing new players by adding new games is a very short-term plan.

Hey everyone!

We announced in our 2025 Round Up that Homebrew will arrive in the latter half of 2026. We will be updates / sneak peeks as we get them but that is officially on the roadmap for this year.
