There is a problem in the Traveller character creator where for background skills it says one has a been selected but none is I don’t know it was from clicking and unclicking to fast for changing background skills but it is bit of a problem because I starting to get annoyed from it being on two of my characters all ready but one character is delete all ready thinking it was a small bug but I think not now.

Depending on how quickly you clicked it’s definitely possible that that caused it to think a skill that hasn’t been selected has been. However, I’ve not been able to reproduce this issue. I’d suggest deleting the effected character and if the problem comes back again after doing so make note of anything you did right before it happened, let us know, and provide us with a link to the character sheet it’s happening on. That will help us when we go to try and reproduce the problem.
