My ten year campaign recently ended (D&D 5e) and my table is moving away from 5e and into Daggerheart. The challenges for my PCs are legion but we’ve been using and loving Discord for voice, chat, scheduling, and with Avrea shared rolls visible in Discord when players rolled from their DDB character sheets.
With DP I absolutely think you’ve nailed a beautifal automated UI experience and I have zero issues with the sheets themselves and the character building process.
My core issues are as follows:
1- Characters sheet initiated rolls are not viewable by other party members or the DM.
2- The group tool while effective for scheduling, chat, voice, handouts etc is lacking a primary driver to stay there since Discord and other 3rd party tools to all of that already. Give us DM’s and players a reason to stay in Demiplane beyond chracter creation and access to a digital ruleset.
3- Consider some effort for an actual mobile device app closer to the DDB experience.
4- Give us more discord integration (it’s the defacto choice for most groups). Example the avrea bot is amazing for the pairing of DDB and Discord and we’d love to have something like that.
5- I think the decision to not try to make Demiplane a VTT is a smart choice and I “see” your roll20 stuff but I’m not a roll20 DM and my players prefer other VTTs like Owlbear Rodeo, Foundry, and Questportal. The VTT space is a crowded market and hard to compete with.
If you could just tie the rolls into the Group tool on Demiplane it woud go a really long way to bringing over more players to Demiplane.
