Help with a Character idea with Psychic Link on Iconic Item

Hey, Am thinking about making a Character that uses a Battle armor with Psychic Link.

My question is about how health and focus would workout if the Character is hidden in a different room/place. While the Battle armor is in the fight and controlled with the Psychic Link, Would the Character and Battle armor share HP and Focus and how would it work with the demoralized or unconscious?

This is going to require a Narrator decision in the end, but the simplest answer is that they share Health and Focus.
