How do groups work?

I am not sure how groups work. I have setup a group and the players have joined. I see that I can share info about the campaign and message players, but does the group do anything else?

For example,
– Can the player attach a character sheet to the group?
– Can the GM see the character sheets?
– Do the rolls on the character sheet show up in the group?

I am used to the D&D Beyond campaigns so I am seeing how different this is. Also, I just have the free subscription so not sure if I need a paid subscription to make this stuff happen.

Currently Groups are a vestige of the earliest days of Demiplane and have very little functionality other than to act as a way to store Journals and easily share content with the players in the group. We’re currently in the process of reworking the entire Groups feature however which will introduce significantly more options.
