my name is jack, im 23, autistic, and wishing to improve my social skills via D&D
i dont have a lot of experience (being 2 one shots, a 2 session short lived campaign with Americans, and another 2 session short lived campaign in college) but thanks to my autism, i have made a few characters (some requiring a little homebrew) though due to my difficulty in being social…i got no friends to play D&D with, let alone DM for. a lot of my D&D knowledge comes from campaign videos (Aerois by “highrollersD&D”, and phandelver hardcore from “world of IO”), and mechanics videos like zee bashew’s animated spellbook, and puffin forrest’s videos
5E is the only system i know, with a small part of me maybe wanting to learn “shadowrun” or the “Veilriders TTRPG”
i am a visual guy, so “text based” games, or those that run “theatre of the mind” are no goes for me. my family is also somewhat on the poorer end, so paid games are not viable. i am interested in any games played in “foundry virtual tabletop” (seeing that was the program the Phandelver hardcore campaign used). and looking for a proper campaign, not a westmarch one by the way
if anyone want to know some of my PCs go ahead and ask (hopefully these threads dont have a word limit). and i also use AI art for my characters…cause im shit at drawing (fuck you fine and gross motor skills…and ADHD)…and commissions cost money
