My wife & I are looking for a group to join, we have both played 5e & 5.5e for a few years now. We love the depth of character design within Pathfinder 2e and are finishing up a Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign with our friends that I DM.
We would love to find a group to join where we both get to be players at the same time as we have always been the DM’s for our group and never players together.
Time zone: CST & available evenings mon-saturday
Frequency: Weekly or Biweekly or happy to join a One Shot
Setting: Preferably an AP within Age of Lost Omens or an open world sandbox campaign with survival & exploration with character driven story lines
Playstyle: We both enjoy engaging with the setting and creating characters the are immersed within the setting & provide story telling tools for the DM. We are incredibly respectful of attendance and understand the time it takes to prepare a game & the commitment from players to show up.
We enjoy challenging combat that requires working together, where survival is not always guaranteed and failure is possible.
Format: Virtual, we both have PC’s & good mics with experience using VTT’s (Foundry, Roll20)

Hey GideonBast, I am presently running a homebrew pathfinder/slight starfinder campaign atm. But I have a person in our group about to take 3 weeks off for a vacation and I was thinking of running something (pathfinder/starfiner) random until he comes back to the states. We lean towards active RP, but combat is always an option. Perhaps you and your wife could dip your toes into our group and we could see if it would be a good fit all around. We play CST on Tuesdays from 6-10 pm, every week on discord with Owlbear rodeo for maps, etc
That sounds awesome, and I would definitely like to try out the combat system as I feel that a lot of time in a TTRPG is interacting with combat in some way. Did you have any ideas for what you would want to run while your main campaign is on a break?
Not sure yet but I have started looking at short adventures I could run. He will be gone Oct 19th-Nov 6th. So we would start that Oct 20th.
If you are looking for a free character sheet builder, try Pathbuilder 2e, its great. Also Reddit has a lot of build ideas and also just pathbuilder info that would help newcomers to the system. What I will say is that the math for the system is very tight, meaning a +1 bonus goes a long way and characters can’t really be broken, with specific builds. Its a very balanced system overall which requires a party to work together to overcome hazards and encounters. Solo heroic types tend to get nuked in this system.
