Lowlife is a sandbox Vampire: The Masquerade campaign set in 2025 Los Angeles. It follows a gang of newly-turned Thin-Bloods navigating the streets of a city shaped by political corruption, surveillance, and organized crime.
This is a street-level chronicle focused on the mechanics of petty crime — breaking and entering, extortion, theft, low-end enforcement, assassination, dealing, producing, smuggling, and favor trading. It’s about survival, making use of limited tools and resources, and moving carefully through a city that doesn’t care whether you make it or vanish.
Larger powers do exist. However, the group isn’t directly connected to them — not yet. What’s out there is obscure, unspoken, and dangerous. The game isn’t about courts or clans. It’s about staying ahead of the next job, keeping a low profile, and building something out of nothing.
ALCHEMY
Thin-Blood Alchemy is central to this campaign — not just flavor, but function. It opens access to unconventional tools, improvised solutions, and daylight operations most Kindred can’t risk. Surveillance, movement, timing, and infiltration all take on new weight when the sun is no longer a hard stop.
