The response time from the backend, especially on searches and lookups, is extremely slow.
I hope this is just during the beta test and caching/SolR or something similar will be in place when the beta closes? Right now, it’s close to destructive for the migration from other build tools.

We completely agree - performance isn’t where it needs to be, and your hopes are well-founded in that we will be addressing it during the beta.
We’ll be doing work to optimize things in the coming weeks and will share more in the beta updates notes as we do.
