Type: Mini-Campaign

Game Format: Voice(mainly),video(if comfortable)

Platforms Used: Discord. VTT not decided.

Session Duration: 3-4 hours depending on players.

Scheduling Information: Tuesday, 6:30 PM EST

Any Other Requirements: Don’t have fun /s. We will be using characters that make sense in MTG setting.

About The DM: Heyyo, I’m Ikraik. I have DMed Strixhaven before in D&D but it had limitations. Want to retry again with Daggerheart. Restructured Strixhaven, Ravnica and Theros to suit for this so a lot of homebrew stuff but mostly official. Don’t worry if you are new I can be patient and guide you on how to play. Actually I recommend new players since there all classes and the worst thing is to be expelled tbh. Apart from death.

Number of spots available: Currently 3 players so I can add 3 more! We will use Demiplane for character creation. Paper sheets are also allowed :slight_smile:

Sounds really interesting. Could you go into a little detail as to the PC classes and how they relate to the colleges within Strixhaven? Are PCs required to take spellcasting Classes, and are those Classes tied to specific colleges?

Your classes are not restricted here, there are preferred options as you read through the different colleges. For example take a necromancer. A lorehold necromancer, would be a historian trying to understand the past using the dead. Prismari necromancer would be how grand or expressive their undeads would be. Quandrix necromancer would be trying to manipulate the spells as a topic or better understand the spell to improve his/her undead. Silverquill necromancer would be more of how their undeads would percieve to others in hope or fear. Witherbloom necromancer is your classic default where it is understanding death and life. The same applies to all the classes. It is not directed heavily to spellcasters alone.

Plus these are disciplines in each college so in later academic years as PCs you can dip in other colleges like a major or minors you’d attempt irl. TBH I could have worded better in terms of all class type pull but I wanted to sell the idea that it’s Hogwarts but inclusive XD

That really does sound cool, I’d be interested but I’ve just figured out the timezone difference wouldn’t really be possible for me. Hope you and your players have a fantastic time in Strixhaven! :slight_smile:

We’re waiting for more players to join us! Let’s try this out. I really want to give this a legitimate shot. I’m one of the players, and I am really looking forward to a narrative/character development themed game.

I’d be interested in checking this out. I have a few characters that I think would fit the general narrative. I am available on TUE nights normally, and I’m in EST as well, so 6:30PM works for me (but I am flexible if needed).

Actually I’ll keep it open, I found an idea to make this work for new players :smiley: My Masks experience as a player gave the spark
