NPC Initiative issue

When using the Demiplane NPC sheets in my game I seem to be unable to roll multiple initiatives for multiple creatures of the same kind. Is there some kinda simple mistake I’m missing cause this is kind of annoying?

This is in Roll20 if that makes a difference

Thanks for the report. It’s definitely not how it’s supposed to work so we’re looking into exactly what’s going on here.

Edit: In the meantime you can use the following Roll20 Macro to roll initiative on a per token basis

/gmroll 1d20+@{selected|perception} &{tracker}

Hi Eve, thanks for the quick responce. I just tried that machro and it seems to work for the Roll20 sheets (which initiative seems to work fine with) but the Demiplane sheets and tokens it seems not to

According to the coworker I got the macro from

You need to load the sheet first so it loads the character attributes, but I just used it in my game and it worked

Let us know if that still doesn’t work for some reason!

Just tried it with the sheet loaded. all I get is a #Initiative in the chat box

If you go to Advanced Tools in the character sheet what is the number next to Attributes? I just tested as well and it worked properly for me so I’m wondering if your sheet attributes aren’t loading correctly.

The number is 431

Thanks, they’re definitely loading then. I’m not sure why the macro isn’t working for you in this case.

I just finished talking with one of our lead devs and got the following information.

The way the integration functions is that it needs a separate Demiplane character sheet for each NPC token. We’re going to look into this further but for now if you have two creatures of the same type in a combat you’ll need to add two of them to the journal and drag each token out from a different journal entry.

That’s WILDLY inefficient and puts a lot of extra clutter on the GM/DM. Honestly kind of disappointing to hear

I spent some time trying to find a faster way to do this and one thing I realized I neglected to mention in my original post is that from the Demiplane compendium in Roll20 if you click on Add multiple times it will add the token to the map along with a separate journal entry for it as many times as you click add. It doesn’t solve the clutter unfortunately but it is more efficient than what I originally said to do.

That’s what I’ve ended up doing. I’d be interested to hear the design thoughts that went into that. Is it a Demiplane/Roll20 integration issue? I ask it’s an issue the Roll20 sheets don’t have. (i also appretiate your willingness to answer questions. I love the Demiplane sheets…just want to see some improvement)
