The latest edition of Traveller is based on the original classic but tweaked, finessed and updated for the 21st Century! Every Traveller book is now printed in full colour and all core rulebooks and supplements are gorgeous hardbacks, packed with everything you have come to expect from your favourite science-fiction RPG.
Traveller contains everything needed to play any science-fiction campaign, from desperate battles across the stars against evil empires, through free traders operating on both sides of the law, to mercenary companies desperate to find their next ticket or face bankruptcy - Traveller gives you the tools to explore the universe in a way that suits you.
Wow, what fantastic news today. The Traveller line by Mongoose, especially the current 2nd edition, is such an excellent game. Character creation is so fun and almost a mini-game itself. There are so many directions you can take the game, but the Third Imperium has some really classic campaigns too: (Pirates of Drinax, I am looking at you.) I backed their newest campaign, which involves superintelligent AI, which isn’t relevant at all to our world. Not at all. I, for one, welcome our AI overlords.
The Traveller line has a ton of titles- I’d guess well over 20, and its still releasing books regularly. I can’t wait to remake my core group, of a former Imperial Marine, dishonorably dischared from the 75th “Wire Wraith” Electronic Warfare brigade. He works alongside his ill-tempered Orca navigator, who resides in a specially adapted living suite in his Far Trader, and is also a drone specialist, as his aquatic upbringing has translated well to 3D navigation.
How will this interact with my Roll20 account where I have bought most of the Mongoose Traveller line. Ditto my Drivethru account? I mean I really like the idea of Demiplane Traveller, just want to know how much duplicate purchases I would be making.
At the moment we don’t have the information to share just yet. Cross-platform sync is up to the publisher and we’ll share more information once we know what direction our friends at Mongoose want to go.
