Question: Disabling Void content & Changing spellcasting trait

Hello everyone,

I have two questions regarding the character builder.

  1. The addition of the void content is great! It’s awesome the option to build using the playtest stuff is much appreciated, but as I am now building for proper campaigns and one-shots that do not allow that content, it is rather annoying that it appears everywhere. Is there an option somewhere to disable it from showing up for that character? Really seems like it should be a thing, but I can’t find it.

  2. For one campaign I wanted to play a character where the seraph would fit perfectly, except for the spellcasting trait, since he’s supposed to be more of a priest-ish character with low strength. Is there a way to manually change the spellcasting trait in a way where all the abilities and stuff use that new trait? I did find the “ignore limits” setting but that does not seem to give you that option.

Thanks for both of these requests. Currently there’s not a way to do either of them but I’ve gone ahead and split them into tickets to pass along for our dev team to investigate further.

I was actually wrong. There is a way to do the first one of turning off playtest content.

In the getting started section click the cog. From the general settings you can disable all or just some of the playtest material.

Hi there! Where is the Getting Started section? I’m sure it’s terribly obvious, but I am just not finding it, and doing a Google search for the term + Demiplane results in…a lot of useful info on getting started, but not an actual section or link by that name

Thank you for your help!

On the first page when you start making the character…

Ah! Thank you.

I was hoping there was a way to shut it off on a campaign-level. Hopefully that might be an option in the future - I’ve got new players and want to limit stuff to the core book before dumping a bunch of playtest options on them.
