I was toying around with the growth system and now have one growth advancement more than I supposed to have. Is there any way to reset/fix that?

You should be able to remove the selection you made at the bottom of the Growth page, resetting your sheet. 
This still doesn’t work. I can’t remove growth from my character after changing playbooks.
This should definitely have been fixed. Can I get a link to your character sheet?
