Selecting Druid's Beastform does not apply its stats

At the moment toggling on your chosen Druid beastform doesn’t alter your character sheet statistics, all it does is display that form’s summary. Which maybe would have been enough, if its statistics were merely applied on top of your own, but it’s a more complex process than that:

  • your statistics and Evasion are added to your existing scores, but your Armor is replaced
  • you lose bonuses from your armor (equipment), however since those bonuses can include statistics and Armour that means you need to know your base values to know how to apply the form’s (or unequip your character)
  • your weapon type, die, its key stat and abilities change

Right now in order for the Beastform toggle to be used one would need to unequip their character, add/replace stats in their head as necessary and manually roll the attack dice and bonuses. At that point it’s more practical to just have a physical copy with all of those pre-prepared.

Hello and welcome to the forums.

At this initial stage in the playtest, we have intentionally stopped short of supporting dynamic “temporary” effects on the digital character sheet because there is considerable work involved in that feature and we don’t want to take that on until the rules are less “wet concrete” for the playtest.

Once we see how things are shaping up for the final game, we plan to support temporary effects such as beastform in a more automated way. In the meantime, we ensure that all the information you would need to see when you’re using that feature is no more than a click or two away.

Thanks!
