I am playing a Wizard level 6 on Roll20 using Demiplane Character Sheets. In the past, I have created sheets for my favoured Summon Animal choices, so as the scenario expands I can just drop them into combat as selected. I thought the Animal companion tab would be ideal for this.
At 3rd Rank, 2nd level monsters, my choices are Black Bear (which I was able to create) Hippogriff (which tells me I need “Howl of the Wild”, but Hippogriff is also in Monster Core p.197. My DM tells me he has shared the MC with me.
Is there some reason I can’t access it via Monster Core?
I see that Hippogriff is in Monster Core so I’m unsure why it won’t allow you to add it. Can I get a link to the character sheet? That will help us to look into what’s going on here.
Thank you so much for including that screenshot actually. I now understand why this is the way it is. Because you’re using the Animal Companion tab it’s trying to use the stats for the animal companion hippogriff which is introduced as an option in Howl of the Wild.
You might be better off using the actual character sheet for the hippogriff. Which you can get to either by using the link I just provided or by going to Game Rules > Creatures > search for Hippogriff > click to expand the entry > then click on Open Sheet.
If you happen to be playing on Roll20 the GM can also bring that character sheet directly into the VTT by going to the Compendium tab > clicking Demiplane at the bottom > then searching for the hippogriff and clicking the Add button to add it to the game.
