Gaining the Fire Ideal Talent from selecting either of the Radiant Paths should give you access to new skills to increase in Rank, however this is not currently happening, because of this you are also unable to increase the Ranks in these skills.

gaining the talent does not grant access to the new skills right away, you must first speak the first ideal.
you can do this on the sheet by going to details and seeing the goal that auto got added for you when selecting the talent. completing it will grant you the unlock of the skills and other features of the talent
Thanks for clarifying, maybe a mouseover could be included to point people towards this, I know mechanically that it doesn’t happen but this is something that has been mentioned repeatedly so it’s clearly being missed.

Ill put it on our list to see if we cant get the goal to also show in the side drawer when clicking on the first ideal talent

We have gone ahead and made improvements in two locations based off this feedback:
First, on the sheet, we have also added the goal right onto the talent display, to make it easier to find
In the builder, we have also added the talent granted in the middle, along with a callout that there is a goal (that you can now complete while in the builder) so you can build a higher level character that need to use those skills, without having to head to the sheet first.
