Hey there! I was making a character who was Rank 2 and I wanted to give them Speed Run 2, which has a prerequisite of being Rank 3. So I took the Surprising Power trait to circumvent that. I was able to add the power just fine. However, upon inspection into my Speed on the actual character sheet, the calculation only takes into account Speed Run 1, giving me only 15 spaces. Is Surprising Power working? Here’s a link to my sheet: https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/marvelrpg/character-sheet/2474b34b-0add-4ac1-ab76-376b76812164
Speed Run 2 only does “Outside of combat, the character can move up to 50 times as fast as their increased Run Speed.”
That outside of combat speed is not shown on the sheet. Only combat speeds.
You can reference Quicksilver’s sheet and profile where it only shows the combat speeds.
With Speed Run 1 your run speed would be base speed x Rank; so your run speed would likely be 10 (if base speed was only 5 spaces) when only Rank 2. Your NPC Raptor sheet only shows run speed of 10 spaces,
I see. I had forgotten about that interaction. My mistake!
No problems! Glad you shared the sheet.
I took “Surprising Power” as well - Rank 3 character, want to add the Rank 4 power “Anger” but…it’s not letting me add ANYTHING.
Help?
You should share the link to your character sheet. There could be a LOT of reasons here.
Did you try selecting a power in the Traits section instead of going to the Powers section?
Do you have an available power pick available to pick up Anger? Surprising Power trait doesn’t grant an additional power.
Do you have Mighty 3 (power prerequisites)? Surprising Power trait lets one ignore the rank prerequite but not the power prerequisites.
Fixed it, I got the answer we were looking for…thanks anyway
