Traveller Character Builder - Aging Issue?

I may be reading this incorrectly, but it seems the Character Builder ages faster than it should.

Assuming you are not using any of the Traveller Companion rules. Your initial character should be 18 after you choose your background skills, but before you start your first term or pre-career schooling.

BACKGROUND SKILLS

Before embarking on your careers, you receive a number of background skills equal to your EDU DM +3 (so, 0 to 6, depending on your EDU score), chosen from the list here. This represents the knowledge you have picked up during adolescence and will allow you to function at a basic level in a technological society.

At this point, you are 18 years old and ready to take on the universe!

Your pre-career schooling takes the place of your first term, so you should leave that part at age 22. Your first term should take you to 22 as well (there are some exceptions - i thing). But after leaving my Pre-Career education I am 26. The rules indicate you can get 4 terms in (age 34) before you suffer the effects of aging, but you start rolling for this at the end of your 3rd term in the character builder.

The effects of ageing begin when a Traveller reaches 34 years of age (at the end of their fourth career term). At the end of the fourth term and at the end of every term thereafter, the Traveller must roll 2D on the Ageing table. Use the Traveller’s total number of terms as a negative DM on this table; the older you are, the heavier the effects of ageing will weigh upon you.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
