Traveller Nexus Ship Shares Bug?

Good morning! I’m generating characters for Traveller using the Core Rulebook (this is fantastic, by the way!!!). When I get Ship Shares as a benefit, I am later prompted to choose what to do with those Ship Shares: give them to another character or convert them to a pension. I know you can convert a ship share to a pension, per the core rulebook, but I’m not sure what it means to give the share to another character. What does that do, exactly? Also, if I choose to do nothing with these shares (choose neither option) the shares do not appear anywhere in the character sheet. I have to sift through various entries in the career history to see them. Am I missing something? Is there something in the rules I’m overlooking? Or is it a quirk of the app?
Thanks in advance!

Hey GoblynByte, welcome to the Demiplane forums!

First off, giving those ship shares to another character is meant as a way to handle the particular part of play where you can pool your ship shares with your fellow Travellers to purchase a ship together. The character sheets don’t communicate with each other unfortunately so it’s functionally a way to remove a certain number of shares from your sheet while you let another player know that you’re giving them those shares.

As for the ship shares not appearing on the sheet if no option is chosen I believe that’s because ship shares are meant to be used entirely during character creation. You either convert them to a pension or you pool them with your fellow players to purchase a ship but whatever the choice is they’re effectively gone by the time you’ve finished creating the character.

Ah. Okay. That does make sense. Thank you for the reply.
It is certainly easily manageable “off the page,” as it were. And I agree that adding it to the character sheet when handled in that fashion would only cause confusion.
I just discovered this app in the past day or two and I am overjoyed that it exists!! Keep up the great work!!
