So today Paizo released the “Invasion’s Edge Player’s Guide”, which added two new ancestries, a lot of new backgrounds, and a new weapon to Starfinder 2e. When can we expect Demiplane to update their system to include these new character options?
We haven’t received these files from our friends at Paizo, but we’ll reach out and ask them about it.

Good to hear! If it helps, the PDF was publicly released for free (at https://downloads.paizo.com/OP-Files/SFS+Invasions+Edge+Players+Guide.pdf ), but I understand if you need to do some behind-the-scenes talks with Paizo before working on the new content.
Our conversion process utilizes different files we receive directly from Paizo, but I appreciate the link nonetheless!

Presumably these ancestries will be released in standard books later, either Adventures or Books?
Is there a general timeline on where the Invasion’s Edge and Playtest Backgrounds will be added?
Looking to use one of those backgrounds and having trouble finding alternate backgrounds that will allow the same items or is there a way to manual override and change some of the selections in the character builder?

I just want to mention that without these choices, many people can’t make the league character they want. I’m waiting to buy starfinder content until I know my players can make league characters.

We have the files for it but at the moment we have other things we have to work on/release first. I don’t have an exact timeline just yet for when Invasion’s Edge will be available but I can say that we fully intend to release it as soon as we can.

Seems everything I want/need for games I run gets pushed to the back burner.
Unfortunately our hands are a little tied when we receive files on a delayed schedule. We’re fitting it in as soon as we can, but it’s gotta dance with a lot of items we locked in earlier on our list. I promise it’s important to us!

Although of course I would love the system updated ASAP, I understand the time needed to make sure it all works. Here’s hoping it all goes smoothly!
Don’t let them off the hook, I been waiting since April for them to finish adding Secrets of Magic content from 4 years ago. This is what Roll 20 does, they lead it on. I bought in thinking it would be better, but they keep putting the content (PF2, now SF2) on the back burner while focusing on the other systems, content. I hate to see them keep doing this.
Any updates on a timeline for this?
Not just yet. We know it’s something that people are really looking forward to we’re just also having to balance it around a lot of other priorities. We will be working on it however.
