Weekly Round Up: July 21st - 25th, 2025

Exciting News!

When we rolled out Daggerheart, we heard you about the experience of leaving room to be desired. We took in your feedback and are thrilled to announce that as of this week, Daggerheart and Cosmere®: The Roleplaying Game Demiplane Compendiums, Demiplane Sheets, and Demiplane Adversaries, can be used in the Roll20 VTT by simply connecting your accounts.

This allows you to keep everything inside Roll20, without having to have different tabs open. You’ll be able to edit your sheets, adversaries, and search through the Demiplane digital compendium with a few clicks.

:gear:Change Log Updates

As a reminder, you can always check the Change Log that gets updated throughout each week on the Roll20 Help Center!

Roll20 | Jumpgate Updates:

  • Resolved an issue where non-square images were being forced into a square aspect ratio when the grid was disabled.
  • Resolved an issue where the Dungeon Scrawl Link was not being correctly cleaned up in the VTT’s data when it was unlinked by users
  • Slightly altered snapping behavior on Hex grids so that non-square graphics snap to fill the hex space, rather than being force into square ratios (leaving gaps at the top and bottom of the hex grid cell)
    • Square Graphics will still remain at a square ratio, as this can be desirable for certain types of items like one-cell tokens, which rest “upon” the cell rather than needing to fill it; this should avoid unnatural stretching for token type graphics but allows map/background objects to fill correctly.

Roll20 | D&D 2024 Character Sheet & Builder Updates:

  • Fixed a bug where the source chip would disappear from certain backgrounds once selected in the builder
  • Fixed a bug that was causing Language dropdowns to fail to populate on the About screen of the builder
  • Fixed a bug where attack saves that use Spellcasting were not measuring DC accurately
  • Fixed a bug where effect rolls with special characters were not rolling to chat
  • Updated To Hit display to include effect flat bonuses on rolls
  • Fixed a bug in the Loot Manager’s random inventory generator that caused several Armors, particularly of higher rarity, to never be randomly generated.
  • Added the ability to sort Shop and Treasure item lists by item name or rarity, ascending and descending.

Roll20 | Official Character Sheet & Builder Updates:

  • Fixed a bug on the Official Starfinder 1e sheet where Constitution Drain was not triggering recalculation

Demiplane Updates:

  • Fixed a bug causing random crashes for some users in Fallout
  • Cleaned up the styling on the Marvel Rules menu so it was no longer overflowing

Demiplane + Roll20 | Beta Integration Updates:

  • Demiplane Compendiums are shown in the Compendium Panel in Roll20 VTT games Supported by Demiplane (when enabled)
  • In Roll20 VTT games with “Demiplane Optional”, you can use a toggle to choose the Demiplane Compendium in the compendium panel (when enabled)
  • Demiplane NPCs / Adversaries can be added to the VTT (tokens get added to the canvas and sheets get added to the journal)
  • Abstracted the no results found component from listings and added it to primer libraries

Does this apply to all systems with demiplane sheets? I do not see a toggle for PF2, I see the Open Compendium button, but not a toggle, in the setting section I see a New Compendium option, it is turned on, but this does not put Demiplane options in the compendium and opening the demiplane is a new tab, from which I cannot drop Demiplane NPC’s on the VTT.

That’s amazing! Any chance for us Pathfinder players to get something similar?

Yes indeed! Pathfinder will have NPC Sheets!
Since there are so many stat blocks, Pathfinder is going to take a little bit of time and I promise we will announce it the moment we can!

Starfinder will be the next group to go for NPC Sheets since Player Core is launching very soon.

My primary concern is being able to use Demiplane character sheets in a VTT… is that going to be possible? The Demiplane character creator is AMAZING, especially (IMO) for Pathfinder 2, which is somewhat complex. Demiplane holds your hand along the way and makes sure you don’t have to much or too little.

Being able to create a character in Demiplane, and then play that character FROM Demiplane in Roll20 (or, please please please, Foundry!) would be incredible.

For example, that… other site… the one for that dragon game that we don’t talk about… had integration with a couple of VTTs, like Owlbear Rodeo and Above VTT. You could link the two and play the game directly from within… that other site.

That was, you could roll dice on the dragon site, and the results would show up in Above VTT or Owlbear Rodeo.

So starting with the new system and adding to the backlog of the one that has been out for 6 years.
