This week has gone by so quickly!
We have been busy on three different fronts! We released Void Playtest Materials on Daggerheart NEXUS, we’re prepping for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Character Tools next week, AND we’re prepping for Cosmere!
Let’s get into the goodies this week that you might have missed!

Daggerheart Updates | Roll20 + Demiplane
We are pleased to share two excellent videos to help you make your character in Demiplane and how to play Daggerheart on Roll20!
- Talking XP goes over how to make a Daggerheart Character that works both for online (Demiplane + Roll20) and offline play!
- EncounterSmith shows you how to play Daggerheart on Roll20 in under six minutes (with a very cool trick for turn order!)
The Void comes to Demiplane + SRD Update
With the release of the Daggerheart SRD, we have received permission to unlock access to SRD-material throughout the Daggerheart Nexus compendium! Official SRD documents will remain available from Darrington Press and will be unlocked on Demiplane as adjustments take place.
Additionally, we are also excited to welcome Void Playtest Material to Daggerheart Nexus. Starting with the Warlock and Brawler classes, Playtest Materials will now be available to all Players and Game Masters on Demiplane.
The fun doesn’t stop with the Warrior and Brawler classes - now that the Witch & Assassin classes are live, we’re working hard to bring those classes into the platform.
Coming Up:
We are working internally to expand the experience on Roll20 even further.
Custom Maps + Adversary Tokens
We are currently working with one of Roll20 users’ favorite map makers for the Quickstart Adventure as well as Adversary Tokens. While Adversary Tokens will be a bit quicker, the custom maps may take a little bit of time!
Adversary Sheets within the VTT
Our Demiplane integration in Roll20 VTT continues. Our engineers are hard at work to allow Demiplane Adversary sheets to work within the VTT. This means you’ll be able to spawn adversaries right from the compendium in Roll20 and they’ll appear with a token and linked Adversary sheet - ready to roll into VTT game chat. We’re aiming for the end of July to release this feature, but that’s an early estimate subject to change.
The Laundry | DriveThruRPG
The award-winning RPG of cosmic horror, tech-driven magic, and occult spycraft returns!
Based on ‘The Laundry Files’ by Charles Stross.
Welcome to The Laundry!
You’re one of the unlucky few standing between humanity and unspeakable - often unpronounceable - supernatural, alien, and interdimensional threats.
You’re a spy. Well, you are now, at least. Previously, you were someone who learned things humanity was not meant to know. Namely, that magic is real, it exists in the higher realms of mathematics, and it has some really messed-up devotees. And if you know that much, then you’re not left with much of a choice — you work for the Laundry now.
If you’re familiar with Charles Stross’ award-winning The Laundry Files series or the first edition of the award-winning Laundry Roleplaying Game, you know all this already and can skip to looking at the books, the new award-winning game system, or just go ahead and pick a pledge level already. Just remember that everything here has won awards, ok? Lots of them.
If you are new to the Laundry, you are in for a treat!
Eberron: Forge of the Artificer | Roll20
We’re celebrating D&D’s Eberron: Forge of the Artificer by offering our own Roll20 pre-order bonuses! Pre-order on Roll20 before July 6 to receive over $100 of VTT bonuses! This bonus round we’ve got maps to help you get your adventuring party on the road. Perfect for random encounters, chases, and more!
This bonus round includes: Ready to Roll on the Road from David Hemenway and Roadside Battlemaps from Caseymobile!
How It Works
- A new bonus unlocks every two weeks.
- Pre-order anytime to get the current bonus plus all future bonuses.
- Each bonus is live for two weeks; if you haven’t pre-ordered before it expires, it’s gone for good.
Remember, once the bonus round is gone, it’s gone for good!
Change Log Updates
As a reminder, you can always check the Change Log that gets updated throughout each week on our Help Center!
Roll20 | Jumpgate Updates:
- We’ve totally revamped the Page Settings menu to resolve performance issues, as well as allow future UX improvements and tweaks.
- Resolved an issue where the VTT Journal was too often performing a full refresh in games with Demiplane Sheets.
- Resolved an issue where unnecessary materials were being created for Token Auras when tokens didn’t have them enabled.
- Resolved an issue with Animation coloration where certain low-quality animations had dramatically reduced saturation on the map
- (This regression had been previously fixed, but reoccurred recently. We’ve resolved it once more, hopefully this time for good!)
- Added Texture Quality settings in Settings → Graphics → Image Texture Resolution. This will limit images loaded to the highest quality you select.
- (lower qualities may still be automatically used by the VTT at low zoom levels or image levels when optimal)
- Resolved an issue where the GM and Player display of tints was inconsistent
- Resolved an issue where panning would become extremely sensitive due to an error in event handlers.
- Resolved a minor memory leak where some materials and textures remained in memory when switching pages.
Demiplane Updates:
Demiplane publishes a monthly patch update that is located on their blog!
- Prepping for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game Character Tools at the end of the month.
Demiplane + Roll20 | Beta Integration Updates:
- Phase IV is currently being worked on as we speak.
- The first wave of releases will integrate Demiplane’s compendium and listing data into Roll20 characters. This should come early next month.
The second wave of releases will allow for VTT handouts, NPCs, and compendium information to be powered through Demiplane, as well. This allows for one purchase powering content across the two systems.

D&D 2024 Roadmap
Yesterday we announced a new public roadmap for our D&D 2024 sheet development. It’s been a long-desired level of transparency for both sides of the screen, and we hope it can be useful for folks who are looking to follow along at home! Alongside it comes the reveal of several upcoming new features and improvements that can currently be found over on the roadmap:
- In-Line Editing for NPC Sheets is on the horizon! We’ve heard your feedback, and want to get you populating information as needed without having to open up new modals. This will be an interactive and feedback-heavy release before we bring it to Character sheets as well!
- Loot Manager helps DMs quickly generate storefronts and treasure chests using owned compendium content, complete with pricing, rarity, and item details. Then, players can browse and “buy” (or loot) at their own pace!
- Condition Sync is a new Pro feature that syncs conditions from your D&D 2024 sheet directly to your token, coming in early July!
You can read even more about the new roadmap and join the discussion on Roll20’s Forum Post!
