Why has Demiplane Digital changed some Printed Domains?

While running our ongoing, year-long game we started back in Beta last night, One of my players was using the Demiplane Digital Character sheet and went to use his “I am your shield” domain ability. The published text and the printed paper card states:

“When an ally within Very Close range would take damage, you can mark a Stress to stand in the way and make yourself the target of the attack instead. When you take damage from this attack, you can mark any number of Armor Slots. Juan Salvador Almencion

But on his Demiplane character sheet, the same ability read:

“When an ally very close to you is going to take damage, you may mark a stress to stand in its way and take the damage instead. Reduce the damage by a value equal to your Strength Trait. You may also reduce the damage by spending armor slots.”

This is a VERY different use of this domain ability and why would Demiplane change a printed, fully released domain ability? Some players only purchased the Demiplane Digital and if they are going off these digital cards, they are not using what Darrington Press published. It created a mess that interrupted our game for 20 minutes last night and I ultimately ruled on the official published definition founded in the printed text. What other Domains have been changed and why?

Hello Doctorhypno. This is the playtest version of I am your shield. If your player made their character during the playtest it will still have the playtest material. Demiplane does not automatically update playtest characters to full release - they remain the same so you could continue to use them as you want.

Your player could remove and replace that card and only the full release version will appear but if you want to make sure all playtest material is updated I recommend re-creating the character in the builder (or as a separate character if they wish to keep the playtest version intact).

Demiplane does use the full release versions of everything, the only time it may differ from the printed material is if there was errata. If you find any other inconsistencies let us know and we will look into getting it fixed!
